It is use as an client portal in our office. From where we extract the candidate details and enter them into JOB DIVA'S profile so that the working hours can be automatically fetch from the client portal. And we also extract weekly report from SAP Fieldglass in excel form to know the working hours of the candidates. And we can also get the information from it that what is the bill rate and pay rate of the candidate.
  • Important information of candidates
  • Help to know that Bill Rate and Pay Rate of the candidates
  • help to know the worker ID of the candidates
  • Need to be changed User-interface because it bit difficult to some segment
  • sometimes it takes too much time to fetch the candidate's details. Loading time is too high.
  • If you do not have high-speed internet then it loads very slowly
Although there are not many shortcomings in it, but if we talk about advantages, then we can avail many benefits from here. Like we can easily search any candidate details and setup coddler in in JOB DIVA so that we can easily get the working hours. And we can easily get the pay rate and the bill rate of the candidates. And also we can get easily work week of the candidates.

1. SoW management
2. Timesheet Management
3. Contracts Management
4. Resource Management and reporting
  • SoW Management
  • Timesheet Approvals
  • Reporting on cost center data for workers
  • Reporting format for historic timesheets
  • to get dashboard reporting for each worker
It is well suited for SoW management, timesheets
Less suited to manage third party resources

I've used Fieldglass to help with invoices in the past, and I appreciate how simple and logically the programme is laid out. I had to contact support, and they were helpful in answering my inquiries.
  • Has all procurement details
  • Intuitive design
  • Streamlining contingent workforce management
  • Very costly
  • Support from Fieldglass team could have been better.
  • Some issues faced during third party integrations
Using a single dashboard, we can manage both workers and contractors thanks to this cloud-based vendor management solution. We can efficiently manage purchasing, invoice production, and payments thanks to the centralised platform. The ability to manage the time and expenses of temporary staff is one of SAP Fieldglass' finest capabilities, along with its assistance in vendor and expense management. It also offers beneficial analytics and reporting features that give us cost information. The technology has proven to be quite beneficial for our business because it helps with compliance management with regard to things like pay and labour rules, among other things. Overall, SAP Fieldglass is an essential tool for companies trying to enhance their management of contingent workers.

I use SAP Fieldglass to approve contractor's timesheet. It is also used for hiring contractors and also renew their contract. It is integrated with SAP Finance and Budget module
  • It is simplifies contractor's hiring process.
  • It is makes it very easy for contractor to enter their timesheet and for manager to approve it.
  • It is seamlessly integrated with SAP.
  • If manager does not review contractor's contract in time, Manager has to create a new request.
It is best suited to manage contractor's recruitment and their timesheet.

SAP Fieldglass has been a great tool to centralize Contingent Labor strategy by unlocking visibility, savings, and risk mitigation opportunities. It also seamless plugs in to the broader SAP ecosystem creating and beyond helping harness data across multiple functions to enable the business to make more strategic decisions and a macro & granular level visibility into multiple practice areas.
  • Data centralization
  • Clean user interface
  • Enables process efficiencies
SAP Fieldglass is the perfect fit where a customer has a decentralized contingent labor process. That paired with the presence of SAP within the organization makes it a seamless decision for the broader enterprise. Given that FG is a mature player in this sector, it makes sense if there is a certain spend threshold in place when it comes to reliance on Contingent Labor resources.

We utilize Fieldglass as the end to end solution for managing the contingent workforce. This has streamlined our process dramatically and automated where it was previously manual.
  • Automation
  • End to End Contingent Worker Tracking
  • Invoice Management
  • Reporting. There is a massive amount of room for improvement
  • The support needs improvement as well as organizational knowledge, which much as left SAP
It is very well suited for a gen one program that didn't have a program in place previously and lacking automation. it is excellent for automation and streamlining of the process.

Fieldglass SAP keeps our travel assignment shifts easily assessable and when there is an issue easy to dispute, the software is easy to use. It helps to facilitate the billing for two parties in a third party system. It has everything we need in one spot. It’s super fast and laid out the way we would want it to be.
  • Ease of use
  • Speed of use
  • Detail layout
  • Design
  • Nothing it’s perfect
  • Notifications are even on par!
Third party staffing, healthcare travel staffing. Payroll, Invoicing side needs of the process. Best suited for travel nurse assignments. Less appropriate would be anything outside of staffing.

Fieldglass is used for contingent workers. We use the CPI version. With Asapio coming into the picture it has made the process very efficient. Our contingent workers log time and expense through FG. It has made hiring and assigning work to the group pretty easier to manage. HR teams are very happy with the product and its support.
  • Time Entry
  • Expenses
  • Cost Object Integration
  • Performance is slow at times
  • Support needs to improve a lot
  • Automation is tough
It is best suited for contingent workers

SAP Fieldglass is used as cloud-based Vendor Management System to manage our external contingent workforce management . The current temporary employees management system has several deficiencies and it is end of its life. Current system does not provide detailed reporting . Client has procured FieldGlass as the new current temporary employees vendor management system . The project is the end to end implementation of the new system and its interfaces with SAP. Due to the age of our current solution, along with advancements in technology, the client would like a solution that’ll support the ability for both onsite and mobile users the ability to use and manage contingent workforce vendor management system. The client’s primary objective for requesting a contingent workforce vendor management system is to support the following high-level business requirements, including all activities currently performed by the legacy Human Resources Temporary Employee Services System. Provide temporary personnel service request/assignment tracking. With the system available to the vendor and using departments.Reduce redundancy and increase reliability of dataAccount for all financial and rate activity and executed defined business rules. Provide means to systematically pay contracted agencies for servicesProvide capacity to self-invoice and pay contracted vendorsProvide means to systematically bill prospective departments for services rendered. This includes an added surcharge to the invoice being charged to the using deparment.Provide defined period ending and adhoc reportsIntegrate with SAP, in accordance to specificationsAutomatic requisition distribution based on vendor classificationSupport the interview process with scheduling and candidate trackingTimesheet entry, approval and routing capabilitiesInvoice reconciliation against many workers, assignments, and ratesProvide audit control capabilitiesProvide controls to ensure budget adequacy, eliminate duplication and overlap of records (i.e. two temps with the same SSN; a temp being paid out of 2 locations for the same time frame), match use of funds to fiscal years and vendor contracts.Robust security and roles set-up with capacity to change levels of view, modify or create.Provides a support and security plan that will ensure knowledgeable technical support during business hours, 7:00a to 6:00p CST, including but not limited to Incident, Problem and Change Management. Provide sustainable low-cost advantage by leveraging new technologies and industry’s best practices. Compliance with the client's Information Security standards.
  • Better visibility and management of Contingent Workforce.
  • Improve process consistency and efficiency.
  • Mobile Accessibility/Approvals.
  • Robust Reporting.
  • Realtime Integration.
  • Timesheet screen improvement.
  • More/better audit control capabilities
  • Pros : Enterprise-wide visibility to contingent worker headcount. Automated process improves cycle times, reduces manual processes. It's best for customers who already have SAP Ecosystem. Provides a seamless integration to the Clients backend SAP system. Provides advance notification of solution upgrades, patches, and revisions, especially as it relates to cloud hosted solutions. An environment secured against security violations and threats.
  • Cons : Need a good technical and integration with right skillset. The challenge of having a good clean source of Master data. Invoice processing integration and mapping with ERP/SAP needs more improvement. Needs more improvement on cloud based help from user training point of vie.

We use Fieldglass for all of our contingent labor needs. Our hiring verticals include tech, operations, customer service, and finance, among others. We find the Fieldglass product is very expansive from a business use case perspective, which creates some complexity in learning and administering the product internally. The scope of our use case is fairly marginal compared to other users, and it still serves nearly all of our needs.
  • Covering business use cases.
  • Configuration options.
  • Data/ Analytics.
  • Service Desk turnaround time/solutions.
  • Product deep dives when solution is ambiguous.
In our specific case, we went from no VMS to SAP Fieldglass. This was an ideal setup for us as it helped us build our program structure a bit. We changed several aspects of our process during implementation based on the system features we were shown. Starting with a global leader in your space will help you understand the best practices at a higher level.

Create reports for our clients, which go into our Business Intelligence tool, from which we create dashboards. The reports range the entire contingent lifecycle from requisition/job posting reports to invoice reports. There are custom fields that we leverage as well.
  • Almost all fields are reportable.
  • Robust reporting experience.
  • Reporting processing time.
  • Calculated fields have regressed over time, room to grow here.
For the analytic-type roles, the software is the best in class compared to other VMS systems. The reporting tool allows you to get whatever data out of the system you need.

SAP Fieldglass is a very effective project data management software, and the setting the first time was a very simple process. All the features are easy to use, and the capabilities are very reliable for our project progress. The effect on workflow and collaboration for multiple projects and document management is perfect.
  • Easy to use.
  • Functional features.
  • Easy to migrate big project.
  • The features are complicated to new people.
  • The big files are not easy to categorize.
  • Interface is not friendly when new user.
The ability to provide accurate Engineering data reports and analytics. The processing of data and the coordination across multiple construction projects are excellent. The data transfer and employee contacts management through SAP Fieldglass are very effective. The tools are responsive, and they allow easy gathering of multiple insights and activities from different projects to be effective.

  • Tracking
  • Cumbersome
  • Too many required fields
  • OCR
SAP Fieldglass is well suited for managing sub-contractors. SAP Fieldglass is less appropriate for trying to onboard sub-contractors quickly.

Fieldglass is used globally across the enterprise for Contingent and SoW. It enables total visibility and management of all non-employee spending; both Time & Material and Fixed Price. Implementing Fieldglass has improved the business experience by making the process to engage, manage and pay for non-employees simpler, easier, and more automated. The rich data now collected on the different types and locations of non-employees (spend, numbers, types, location, etc.) allows for better commercial and strategic resource decisions which have resulted in significant benefits.
  • Fieldglass is very good at simplifying, automating, and managing the engagement of all types of non-employee - Contingent and SoW.
  • Fieldglass enables visibility of all data relating to all non-employees; spend, types, locations, rates, etc. which allows for better forecasting, profiling, and ultimately reduction in spending and numbers.
  • Fieldglass works well with and integrates smoothly with other applications like Oracle, Workday, Ariba, etc.
  • Fieldglass could sharpen and update the User Interface; including broadening the functionality of their different apps.
  • Fieldglass could enhance their analytical capability, making it easier to visualise and analyse all worker types in one place.
  • Fieldglass would benefit from developing more AI into the SoW creation wizard to help improve the quality of SoW content.
Fieldglass is well suited to most situations where non-employees are used, in particular, contingent workers ("temps" & Contractors) and anywhere work is completed via Statement of Work (SoW) for Services and where Managed Service Workers (MSW), Consultants, Resource Augmentation Workers are used. It's possibly less suitable for the engagement of "zero-hours workers", "freelancers", ancillary workers (total outsourced services). Because Fieldglass is highly flexible and relatively simple to deploy, it lends itself well to organisations of any size (small, medium & large) and in any location globally.

SAP Fieldglass is the technology enabling platform in 15---and expanding to 5 additional countries---for the procurement of contingent labor and in a few countries for the provision of freelancers and project-based work engaged via an SOW. An internal team has been set up to support the deployment of a Services Procurement program with strategic suppliers that is in the process of being rolled out. SAP Fieldglass enables us to have greater visibility into how Novartis procures (and manages) external talent and services through standardized processes driving improved compliance, a better quality of talent, and greater control of cost.
  • Robust process design and configuration
  • Ability to manage all types of external workers
  • Integration capability
  • UI - Cumbersome for infrequent users
  • Market Rate intelligence
  • Blue collar worker management
SAP Fieldglass is very well suited to manage white-collar contingent labor and services procurement but less for blue collar and shift workers.

SAP Fieldglass is implemented across the whole organisation to procure, manage and optimize our external workforce more efficiently but also help with innovative solutions by harnessing the power of data and digital while contributing towards our digital aspiration at Novartis. It enables us to streamline and simplify the end-to-end process from initiation of a statement of work through to contract signature, service delivery, and invoicing. SAP Fieldglass is used for the contingent workforce as well as for services.
  • Contingent labor process, starting from the job posting to final candidate onboarding
  • Supplier and Customer collaboration options in the system
  • Configuration options for customers
  • Management of service delivery and service contract setups
  • Option to establish a true end-to-end process (from source2contract to final payment)
  • Usability to be improved (to allow more end users to act directly in the system)
  • Rate card management / Fx rate management
  • Documentation of the functionality (There is so much functionality available in the system, it would be great to receive more instructions how to configure).
  • AI usage to ensure more intuitive entries, based on past usage and other users' experience/work
Where SAP Fieldglass does well:
  • Speed through process automation
  • Increased visibility on the service delivery
  • Smart processing and operational efficiency (digital contract creation, pre-defined workflows, automated PO creation and confirmations)
  • Better compliance and adherence to contract terms using standardized contract/SOW templates and enforced rate cards Better transparency on the process stage through process tracking Integrated process from bidding to payment
Overall Fieldglass can be used in the areas where an external workforce is involved, whether these are contingent labor resources or services. For material/goods related contracts (software, etc.) the system is in our opinion not suitable.

SAP Fieldglass is an excellent and comprehensive, helpful system [for] easy contractor database management and a very easy solution for even non-technical users to get started. The budgeting capability that SAP Fieldglass provides is nice and quite reliable for the effective categorization and invoicing operations. Also, SAP Fieldglass has the best tools.
  • Asset management tool.
  • Excellent inventory management.
  • Skills tracking solution.
  • Performance speed requires improvement.
  • Dashboard setting can be made effective.
  • Collaboration ability is low.
SAP Fieldglass is the best solution for order management for the project managers. [It is an] easy tool for recruitment management, [has] effective tools, and [is] easy to manipulate. SAP Fieldglass also allows the user to simply manage resources and again, SAP Fieldglass['s] capability for time tracking is excellent and helpful to the users.

My organization uses FieldGlass VMS to manage our business and recruiting process with a number of clients. It is very proficient in managing data and documents, however, it still does not allow for enough real time information. Fieldglass VMS does not auto populate, so pages have to be refreshed manually.
  • Bill rate calculations. Automatically calculates rates and helps stay within budget.
  • Job Descriptions: very thorough detail, allows for attachments, and gives specific details about the interview process, etc.
  • Format - the overall format is very basic/user-friendly. Dashboard can be customized to suit users preferences.
  • Could use more tools and menu options.
  • Technical support is only offered during regular business hours. Could help to have live 24/7 support available.
  • Pages still crash periodically and you have log in again and lose any data that was not saved.
No. Fieldglass VMS performs to my needs.

Fieldglass is a VMS that we, as a staffing agency, interface with for two different clients. I use it to review job postings, submit candidates, receive feedback on candidates, setup and manage interviews, and interface with the clients. Our back office folks use Fieldglass to manage invoices and billing. At this time, I'm the main user of Fieldglass from a candidate and job management standpoint, although there is certainly the possibility of use expanding to other people within our office, and others have access to the system already.
  • Fieldglass does a good job of displaying the jobs that are open, and allows for vendors to quickly determine the status of the jobs, the location, posting dates, and how many candidates you have submitted for each one.
  • Fieldglass does allow some filtering and search capabilities. When you get to a large number of jobs on which you are working, that is invaluable in keeping organized. Many other VMSs do not do a good job of this.
  • The submittal process, of attaching a candidate to a specific job, is fairly short and straightforward. That's important because it saves time. Many VMSs take forever to get a candidate through, and are not intuitive at all. Fieldglass is better than most in that regard.
  • The simple display and way you navigate the jobs page is not very intuitive. There could be better information displayed than what is there, and it doesn't always make sense in how you move from one page to another.
  • I really don't like the requirement of the last 5 digits of a candidate's social security number for the "Security ID." Some candidates are reluctant to give that out, when paired with their birth day (also required). I'm not sure why this couldn't be a different piece of information - last 5 of the primary phone number, for example.
  • Some of the field are not well-defined. For example. there is a Resume field, then an Attachments field. And the rate section isn't 100% clear, especially when entering overtime rates or discounted rates.
It's well suited for a company who has lots of vendors, lots of requirements, and lots of contractors. I can see how it would help manage the relationship between vendor and client, and I do think it's better than many of the other VMSs that I have utilized. It allows a vendor to see many requirements simultaneously, and the ability to submit previously submitted candidates is pretty good as well. That's also important because a key component to vendor success (and vendor engagement) is speed to submittal. If your VMS cannot support vendors, you run the risk of losing vendor engagement which means a lesser candidate pool. It would be poorly suited for a smaller company with fewer vendors. Essentially it would be overkill for that sort of organization, and would add unnecessary layers into the hiring process.

I work for a Staffing organization that partners with Fieldglass as well as other VMS technologies as we support the process of hiring/managing temp labor onsite at our clients. When Fieldglass is selected, it is our central technology used to submit job postings, manage approval, hire workers, time track, etc.
  • Generally user friendly/intuitive - comparatively to some competitors FG is easy to navigate.
  • Decently robust releases - usually a good amount of features come out in each release (3 major releases a year)
  • Made good strides in updating/increasing the usability in the last few years
  • Not very many major releases (only 3) while other technologies are changing more often
  • Help desk is quick to close a case without providing a full detailed logical explanation (they just state something even if it doesn't make sense)
  • Admin section is confusing as a lot of configurations are "hidden" even from an Admin view
  • Employees appear overburdened therefore are not as responsive as needed (i.e. Operations Consultants)
Fieldglass VMS is definitely a leader in VMS technology but has strong competition with Beeline, PROUnlimited software, etc. I would need to do a comparison of FG against these other technologies which I am less knowledgeable. The only other factor is cost - not sure how Fieldglass VMS compares.
